Semi-Log Graph in Excel
Let's see how to create a semi-log graph in Excel! If you already have data, skip the first three steps. If not, let's start! 1. First, type X & Y in cell A1 & B1 respectively. 2. Then, type a 0 in cell A2, put the cursor at the bottom right corner of the cell, and drag it down when a plus (+) icon appears to create a series of numbers upto 12 or so. 3. Next, enter the following formula in cell B2, and copy it down. =POWER(2,A2) 4. After that, insert a scatter plot from the Insert tab as shown below. 5. Then, right-click on the vertical y-axis (high range values) of the chart & select Format Axis. 6. Next, enable the Logarithmic Scale. 7. Now, close the Format Axis pane and, click on the Chart Elements menu (a + icon at the top corner of the chart). Then enable all major & minor Gridlines by checking the checkboxes.
